THREE VEHICLE COLLISION CLOSES COUNTY 35

(PUSLINCH TWP, ON) – On Friday September 20, 2013 at approximately 8:00am, Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers received a call to a serious collision involving three motor vehicles at the intersection of Wellington County Road 35 and Concession 4, Puslinch Township.

OPP officers responded to the scene along with Guelph-Wellington Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Puslinch Fire and Rescue.

The investigation revealed that a Ford Ranger driven by a 53 year old male from Cambridge was stopped at the stop sign on Concession 4 and was travelling eastbound. He entered the intersection and was struck by a southbound Honda CRV that was driven by a 44 year old female from Guelph. The third vehicle was a 2009 Jeep. It was travelling in a northbound direction and driven by a 31 year old female from Cambridge. The Jeep also collided with the Ford Ranger.

All drivers were taken to Guelph General Hospital. The driver of the Ford Ranger has major injuries and the other two drives suffered minor injuries.

The Wellington County OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) are assisting with the investigation.

Wellington County Road 35 and Concession 4 will be closed while police continue with the investigation.
