Obstruct Police – Public Intoxication

A father and son became heavily intoxicated and were refused service at a local bar in the south end of Barrie. The duo were causing a disturbance and Barrie Police Service were notified and attended the scene.

While both parties were being escorted outside the establishment by police the father pushed his son into police in an attempt to thwart the arrest. The father was arrested for obstruct police and being intoxicated in a public place.

The 37 year old Barrie resident was held in police custody until sober and later released with future court date and fined under the Liquor Licence Act
