On September 21, 2013 at 2:05 a.m., the Guelph Police attended to a drinking establishment located on Carden Street for a disturbance. Investigation alleges that a verbal altercation between two men inside the bar became physical when one of the males elbowed the victim in the face, knocking him to the ground. While on the ground the man was then kicked in the face rendering him unconscious. Paramedics attended to treat the victim and took him to the hospital. Initial diagnosis is a lost tooth, laceration to the mouth, severe swelling to the jaw and a concussion. Police made an arrest at the scene.
Brendan KAVANAGH, 24 years of Preston has been charged with assault causing bodily harm and failing to comply with probation order. He will appear in court on September 23, 2013.
