(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST GREY, GREY COUNTY) – On September 5, 2013, the Ontario Provincial Police West Region Criminal Operations was contacted by West Grey Police Service, following a report of an internal theft of cash from the police service.
After an on-going investigation, on Monday, October 1, 2013, the OPP West Regional Criminal Operations, with the assistance of Wellington County OPP Crime Unit and members of the West Grey Police Service, arrested and charged a 39 year old North Perth (Listowel) woman with theft under $5,000 and fraud under $5,000.
The accused was employed with West Grey Police Service since January 2011 as a civilian Records Manager. She is scheduled to appear in court in Walkerton on Monday, November 18, 2013.
