On October 1, 2013 at 8:20 p.m., the Guelph Police attended to the area of Willow Road and Bagot Street after receiving a complaint about a car that had almost struck a telephone pole and now appeared disabled. Police spoke with the female driver and a demand was made for a roadside breath sample. She failed this test and was arrested. Subsequent to arrest, a small quantity of marihuana was discovered.
Ashley CANAVAN, 19 years of Hillsburgh has been charged with drive over 80 mg and possession of a controlled substance (CDSA). She will appear in court on October 15, 2013.
