On October 2, 2013 at 10:30 am, an E-bike under the power of its battery was traveling northbound on Bayfield Street with a female operator. The E-bike was approaching the intersection of Bayfield Street and Cundles Road it rean into the rear of a vehicle that was stopped at the red light.
Police were called to the scene and it was quickly ascertained that the female operator was under the influence of alcohol. She was arrested and transported to the Barrie Police Service were she later released on a promise to appear for impaired driving and refusing to provide a breath sample.
She now faces a November court date.
