(PERTH EAST, ON) – Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are investigating the theft of 60 live Barred Rock hens and roosters from a chicken barn located on Perth-Oxford Road east of Tavistock. The chickens were stolen sometime during the early hours of September 22, 2013.
The majority of the barred rock chickens stolen had a dark salt and pepper colouring. The chickens each weighed between 6 to 8 pounds.
The total value of the stolen chickens is approximately $650.
