Operation Impact Traffic Enforcement

Yesterday morning, an officer from the Community Patrol Section in the Community of Ridgetown observed a commercial motor vehicle travelling eastbound on Ridge Line. The officer’s attention was drawn when the driver made an unsafe turn almost causing a collision with another vehicle. The officer initiated a traffic stop and learned that the driver was suspended for unpaid fines. The 33-year-old Kimberley man was served a notice of suspension and issued a ticket for making an unsafe turn. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

In the late afternoon, over a time span of two (2) hours, officers of the Traffic Management Unit conducted seatbelt enforcement in the Community of Blenheim, a total of 23 tickets were issued for seatbelt infractions under the Highway Traffic Act.
