The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a woman wanted on an outstanding warrant.
On March 22, 2013, the woman was charged with theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000 following a shoplifting complaint on William Street in Chatham. The woman was released pending a future court date.
On May 17, 2013, the woman failed to attend court and a warrant was issued for her arrest. Around 3:00 a.m. this morning, police located the woman and she was arrested.
Melanie, Nijjar, 21 years, of Harvey Street in Chatham has been released pending a future court date.
