Yesterday, officers conducted a Seatbelt Blitz in Wallaceburg. In just two hours, the officers observed numerous motorists not wearing their seatbelts. A total of 18 tickets were issued.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service would like to remind everyone that not wearing your seatbelt is an offence contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
Not wearing your seatbelt could cost you a $240 fine, 2 demerit points or your life should you get involved in a motor vehicle collision !!
