Barrie Police working in the downtown area after 1am encounter a young woman in a drunken state on Dunlop Street. She was directed to get into a taxicab and make her way home. She told police that was what she was planning to do. Then, within a very short period of time, the same drunken woman returns to the exact same spot and is starting to get into a verbal argument with another woman.
The 22 year old local woman was then arrested for being Intoxicated in Public and taken into custody as she was not able to look after herself and make rational decisions. She will be released once sober with a Provincial Offences fine to pay. No one was injured in this incident.
