Barrie Police executed an outstanding warrant in the first by our Service on today’s date prior to 4pm this afternoon. The 28 year old local man was involved in an incident back in September in the downtown area where a physical altercation ensued sending another young man to the hospital. The victim was sucker punched by the accused and ended up falling to the ground hitting his head, which caused a concussion and he also required stitches.
Investigating officers made numerous attempts to locate the accused with negative results. He was not able to be reached on his cell phone and moved from his last known address. He was arrested and charged criminally with Assault causing Bodily Harm. He was held in custody pending his Bail Hearing on October 15th, 2013.
