(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) Monday afternoon, October 18, 2010, Perth County OPP officers were responding to a call of a suspicious vehicle parked on Road 170 North West of Mitchell.
Upon the officers arrival marihuana plants could be seen inside the vehicle. Two males were observed in a corn field where a few more marihuana plants were located. Further investigation led to the search of a second location where more plants were found. A total of approximately 260 lbs of marihuana was seized by police.
The two males were arrested and charged for the possession and production of Marihuana.
A 59 year old Seaforth resident and a 61 year old Municipality of West Perth resident will be attending Criminal Court in Stratford on November 22, 2010 to answer to these charges.
