Waterloo Regional Police are investigating the death of a man in downtown Kitchener overnight.
Shortly after 1 a.m. a car was observed driving erratically on King Street, travelling in to downtown Kitchener. The vehicle struck a curb and flipped in the 300 block of King Street. Emergency services responded to the scene and treated the lone male occupant. He was transported to Grand River Hospital where he succumbed to injuries.
There are suspicious circumstances surrounding this death and as a result the investigation is being led by the Homicide branch with the assistance of Traffic Collision and Forensic Identification investigators.
The body of the man has been transported to a Hamilton hospital for a forensic post mortem.
No further details will be released at this time.
