On Monday, October 28, 2013 uniformed officers dealt with a man sleeping in a vehicle in the parking lot of 242 Wellington Road. The initial thought of this being an impaired investigation, turned into a drug investigation.
Seized as a result of this investigation are the following items:

Hydromorphone 18mg- 16 tablets
Hydromorphone 30mg- 38 tablets
Oxycodone 80mg- 4 tablets
Dilaudid- 36 tablets
MDMA- 2 tablets
1.9 grams of Crack cocaine
7.0 grams of powder Cocaine
11.2 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine
Clonazpam 0.5mg- 13 tablets
Tylenol 3’s- 3 tablets
Nortriptyline 50 mg- 7 tablets
Unknown capsules – 20 tablets
10 Fentanyl patches
Electronic scale
Numerous unused baggies
Crack pipe
$5260 in Canadian currency
$20 in US currency

As a result of this investigation, 32-year-old Shane SIMMERS,
is charged with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences:
– Possession of ammunition while prohibited, contrary to section 117.01(3)
– Possession of a prohibited weapon, contrary to section 92(2)
and the following Controlled Drugs and Substances Act offences:
– 7 counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking contrary to section 5(2)
– Possession of a Schedule III substance for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to section 5(2)
– Possession of a Schedule IV substance for the purpose
of trafficking, contrary to section 5(2)

As a result of that occurrence and an ongoing investigation by members of the London Police Service Guns and Drugs Section, consisting of members of London Police and the RCMP, search warrants were executed at a home on Martinet Avenue and another on Fairhaven Circle.
The following items were seized from the home on Martinet Avenue:
– Cooey model 600 bolt action rifle 22 cal with scope – $300.00
– 32-18mg hydromorphone $1240
– 224 g of marihuana bud – $2240
– 9 g crack cocaine – $900
– 7 g crystal methamphetamine – $700
– 9 MDMA – $180
– 149 Dilaudid – $150
– 500 ml methadone – $75
Recovered Stolen:

Acer Tablet – $200.00 – both stolen from a residential B&E in Aylmer on Saturday, October 26, 2013
As a result of this investigation, the following London residents are charged:
Shane SIMMERS (32 years old)
Brandon SIMMERS (28 years old)
Cory SIMMERS (24 years old)
Maria SIMMERS (55 years old)
Kevin SIMMERS (53 years old)
All have been charged with the following offences:
– Five counts of possessing a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to section 5(2) CDSA
– Possess Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to section 5(2) CDSA
– Possess Schedule III substance for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to section 5(2) CDSA
– Two counts of possessing property obtained by crime, contrary to section 355(b) CC
– Store weapons and ammunition carelessly, contrary to section 86(1) CC
– Unauthorized possession of firearm, contrary to section 91(1) CC
Shane SIMMERS charged separately with possess firearm/ammunition while prohibited, contrary to section 117.01(1) CC
