With reference to a Guelph Police Service media release on October 24, 2013 regarding a sexual assault allegation made to the Ontario Special Investigations Unit. On October 31, 2013 the Director of the Ontario Special Investigations unit advised the Chief of the Guelph Police Service that through preliminary enquiries he determined that the sexual assault allegation did not make out the offense of sexual assault and therefore does not fall within their mandate.
