On October 27, 2013, William Michael SMITH, 53 years of Guelph was arrested and charged with sexual related offences. The charges involve multiple victims of various ages and are historical in nature.
The investigation is continuing and further victims have come forward to the Guelph Police. As a result, SMITH now faces four additional charges. In total, SMITH is charged with 21 criminal charges.
The charges are:
Sexual Assault (x6) Sec 271 CCC
Sexual Interference (x7) Sec 151 CCC
Invitation to Sexual Touching (x2) Sec 152 CCC
Mischief (x3) Sec 430(1)(d) CCC
Making Child Pornography Sec 163.1(2) CCC
Possessing Child Pornography(x2) Sec 163.1(4) CCC
All of the alleged victims were known to SMITH.
SMITH is in custody and will next appear in court on November 6, 2013.
