(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Saturday October 30, 2010 shortly after midnight a Perth County OPP officer observed a pickup truck weaving in its lane on Hwy. 23 in Bornholm. The officer pulled over the truck and discovered that the male driver was displaying signs of impairment due to alcohol consumption. The driver was arrested and transported to the Stratford Police Station where he provided breath samples into the Intoxilyzer.
Ryan Burwell (24) of the Municipality of North Perth was subsequently charged with operating a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood and with operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol. He is scheduled to appear in Stratford Criminal Court on Monday December 06, 2010 to answer to these charges. He was also served a 90 day drivers licence suspension.
