Two 15 year old youths have been arrested and charged with numerous offences including; Uttering threats, conspiracy to commit murder, and conspiracy to commit sexual assault. A conversation between the two youths took place over Facebook two weeks ago however, was just discovered recently. The youths named teachers and students from a local Barrie Secondary School as potential victims.
As soon as police were made aware of the situation, a prompt investigation ensued and the proper steps were taken with the involved school board. At this time there is no safety concern for students or teachers attending the school.

Barrie Police would like to remind youths that threats made through any form of communication (including social media platforms) is a very serious offence.
Parents should remain diligent about monitoring these platforms and should also speak to their children about appropriate conduct while on line.
