(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Monday November 08, 2010 at approximately 5 p.m., a truck travelling on Road 145 at the Goderich Exeter Railway overpass struck the overhead railway bridge with the top of the cargo-box.
Investigation revealed that a 5 Tonne truck with a 24 foot box which was travelling south bound on Road 145 south of Hwy 8 struck the GEXR railway bridge. The truck was being operated by a 33 year old Brampton resident who was not injured as a result of the collision. The truck sustained extensive damage to the top of the box. GEXR Railway personnel attended the scene and inspected the structure of the bridge which appeared to be undamaged.
