On November 20, 2014 at 1154 am, a 16 year old Cambridge male was riding his e-bike southbound on the east sidewalk of Hespeler Road approaching Munch Avenue. His traffic signal was green and he attempted to ride his e-bicycle through the crosswalk when he was hit by a vehicle travelling westbound on Munch Avenue. This vehicle, driven by a 37 year old Kitchener male, was in the process of making a right hand turn from Munch onto Hespeler Road. The 16 year old was transported to hospital with major injuries. His ebike was destroyed. The other driver was not injured. The investigation in to the cause of this collision is continuing.
