In November 2014, members of the Barrie Police Street Crime Unit entered into an investigation regarding the sale and distribution of Heroin
within the city. During their investigation, members identified several persons who they believed were responsible for the sale of Heroin and gathered enough evidence to execute a search warrant.
On the 22nd of November 2014 officers from both the Barrie Police Service and South Simcoe Police Service Street Crime Units executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances search warrant at Bayfield Street residence. In total 6 parties were arrested and charged with a total of 8 criminal charges. In addition, three of the arrested parties were also wanted on outstanding warrants from various jurisdictions. All arrested parties now face future court dates.
Officers seized a small quantity of Heroin, Morphine and approximately $2000 cash.
