Shortly after 9:00 p.m. last night, officers responded to a disturbance on Harvey Street in Chatham. Upon arrival, officers observed an intoxicated man who was unable to care for himself. The man was arrested for his own safety and transported to police headquarters.
The 33 year-old Blenheim man was charged with being intoxicated in a public place. He was released when sober.
