On the 28th of November 2014 officers attended a Bernick Drive address in relation to a domestic assault. Investigation revealed that the common law husband of the victim had struck her about the upper torso and pulled out a small clump of hair. The male then threatened her with a knife and broke a decorative ornament. The 28 year old Barrie male was located at the scene and arrested. He is now facing charges of assault x2, assault with a weapon, weapons dangerous, uttering threats and mischief under $5000. He was held for a bail hearing. The victim did not require medical attention for her injuries.
