On November 27st, 2014, a Windsor resident reported his cargo trailer valued at $1800.00 stolen to the Windsor Police Service. At the time of the theft, there were no suspects.
On Friday, December 5th, 2014, the victim contacted the Chatham-Kent Police Service and reported that he had located his stolen trailer in the Ridgetown area. Police attended and conducted an investigation which in fact confirmed that it was the victims property. A suspect was also located in possession of the stolen property and subsequently arrested.
A 35 year old Windsor man has been charged with possession of stolen property and was released with a future court date. The stolen trailer was returned to the rightful owner.
