(Ottawa) On Tuesday, December 9, 2014, Ottawa Police Service Patrol officers responded to a disturbance call in the 300 block of Kent Street.
A male was subsequently arrested for being intoxicated in a public place and taken into custody. During the search of his belongings in the cellblock, officers located a gift wrapped box that concealed 169 jewelers type bags containing cocaine.
Items seized during the search included:
83 grs of cocaine valued at $8,300.00
0.5 grs of marihuana
Approximately $265.00 in Canadian currency
As a result, Liban ARABETO, 58 years old of no fixed address was charged with:
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine sec 5(2) CDSA
Possession of a Schedule II Substance (Marihuana) sec 4(1) CDSA
Possession of Proceeds of Crime under $5,000.00 sec 355 (b) CC
2 counts of Breach of Undertaking 145(5.1) CC
Liban ARABETO was held for a show cause hearing and remains in custody with a court date of Monday, December 15, 2014.
