A 21 year old Barrie man was drinking and smashing beer bottles at his brother’s house. He also took a meat cleaver and chopped up the kitchen counter. As police were responding, the suspect left the address. Officers located the suspect in a nearby catwalk. The accused had a 12†kitchen knife in his waistband and was arrested for Mischief Under $5000, Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose. Police also located several cans of beer in the accused bag. The accused was on a Conditional Sentence to be under house arrest and not to consume or possess alcohol. The accused was held for bail for the new offences and for breaching his Conditional Sentence.
