On Monday, December 15th, 2014, at 3:11 a.m., police observed a motor vehicle being driven erratically without lights on Fairway Road North in the city of Kitchener. Police attempted to stop the vehicle with lights and siren activated, however the driver refused. Additional cruisers arrived and attempted to contain the vehicle. The vehicle side-swiped a cruiser and maneuvered around it. Another attempt was initiated. The driver then left the road, striking a utility pole. The driver and one passenger are facing a number of criminal charges including Flight from Police, Dangerous Driving, Taking a Motor Vehicle without Consent and Driving a Motor Vehicle without a Licence. Both accused are Young Persons and as such their names can not be released.
