(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers have now opened up the section of Hawkins Road that had been closed for a single motor vehicle collision investigation.
The preliminary investigation has revealed the driver of the Ford Ranger was eastbound on Hawkins Road when he lost control of his truck on an icy section of the roadway.
His vehicle slid off the roadway into the south ditch and collided with a tree.
The 19 year old male driver from Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh remains in hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
