Man Charged with Domestic Related Assault CK15000295
The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man in connection with a disturbance early yesterday morning in Chatham.
Around 3:00 a.m. the man and woman began arguing which escalated into a physical altercation as he assaulted her and smashed her cell phone valued at $500. The woman did not seek medical attention.
The 23-year-old Chatham man has been charged with assault, sexual assault and mischief under $5000. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Man Charged with Domestic Related Offences CK15000319
The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man following a domestic dispute.
Yesterday afternoon, police responded to a disturbance in Chatham. Upon arrival, a woman reported to police that she had been assaulted by her boyfriend. Through investigation, officers learned that this was not the first time she had been assaulted by him. The woman attended the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for medical attention.
The 34-year-old Chatham man has been charged with assault x5, uttering threats x2 and assault with a weapon. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Man Charged with Being Intoxicated in a Public Place CK15000327
Shortly after 5:00 p.m. yesterday, a man walked into the lobby of police headquarters with an odour of an alcoholic beverage on his breath. The man was incoherent and found to be in possession of an open bottle of wine.
The 39-yearold Chatham man was unable to care for himself and was arrested and charged with being intoxicated in a public place.
Theft of Wire CK15000301
The Chatham-Kent police are looking for the public’s assistance regarding a theft from Chatham.
Sometime between December 25, 2014 and January 4, 2015, unknown suspect(s) stole approximately 300 feet of wire from parked trailers on National Road. Value of the stolen wire is estimated at $1250.

Attempt Break and Enter CK15000350
The Chatham-Kent police are looking for information regarding an attempt break and enter last night.
Around 10:20 p.m. police responded to an alarm at the Future Shop on St. Clair Street in Chatham. Upon arrival, officers observed a shattered window just south of the main entrance. It did not appear that the suspect(s) actually gained entry into the store.
