The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man for disobeying the conditions of his recognizance.
On December 29, 2014, the man was released from custody with several conditions. One of those conditions stated that he was not to be in the Municipality of Chatham-Kent except for scheduled meetings with legal counsel or court appearances.
Around 3:30 p.m. yesterday afternoon, an officer on general patrol observed the man walking on Wellington Street East in Chatham. The 31-year-old London man was taken into custody and charged with failing to comply. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
