On January 14, 2015 at 11:50 a.m., the Guelph Police went to a collision involving a pedestrian at Grange Road and Victoria Road. It is alleged that a Nissan van travelling westbound on Grange, struck a 16-year-old female crossing the road at the light of the Victoria Road intersection.
The pedestrian attended to the Guelph General a short time after the accident with minor injuries. The driver was not injured.
The driver, an 18-year-old Erin man, was subsequently charged with fail to yield to pedestrian under the Highway Traffic Act.
