Police responds to complaints of illegal activity on Rochester Street and charge Ottawa woman

(Ottawa) Central Neighbourhood Officers commenced an investigation in December 2014 in response to public complaints about illegal activity alcohol, drugs and contraband taking place at an apartment in the 200 block of Rochester Street.

Central Neighbourhood Officers with the assistance of the Street Crime Unit executed a search warrant on January 22, 2015 resulting in the arrest of a woman and the following items seized:

$910.00 in Canadian Currency
1 Digital Scales
Drug Paraphernalia (packaging material)
18 cases of beer
17 cartons of native cigarettes
45 bags of native cigarettes
Total value of alcohol and tobacco $2650.00
Cannabis Marihuana 451.3 grams, street value: $ 6769.50.
Kim Phung QUACH, 74 years old of Ottawa was charged as follows:

5(1) CDSA Trafficking Schedule II substance (Cannabis Marihuana) X 3
5(2) CDSA Possession for the purpose of trafficking (Cannabis Marihuana) X1
Possession of Proceeds Under $5000 X 4
Unlawfully sell Liquor
Unlawfully Have liquor for sale
Unlawfully offer liquor for sale all contrary to the Liquor License Act of Ontario.
She was released on a promise to appear in court on February 25, 2015.

The investigation continues and further charges are pending.
