There is a 10% chance they will opt for change and our Community
could start to recover. How hard would it be to start the
recovery process and start re-building our Community? The
reality is, it would only take a few minutes. Council and
staff would like you to think it would take years of hard work, and
dozens of extra meetings, which is 100% BS.
Council simply needs to pass a few common sense motions, 10 minutes
and our Community has a chance of surving.
1. Move to stop all advertising expenses that are not required by
law.
2. Move to get a price for the OPP to police Wingham, and disclose
that price to the Public without the traditional bias toward keeping
the Wingham Police Service.
3. Move to clear at least one sidewalk on each street in Wingham,
and both pedestrian paths on Hanna Bridge.
4. Move to publicly disclose all locations that have lead pipe in
the Wingham water system, and demand a plan of action from the
appropriate department head to have the lead removed.
5. Move to address our infrastructure deficit. Possibly phased
in over the next couple years.
6. Move to analyze the Community/Economic Development Department”
by having the department head report on the number businesses the
department has brought to North Huron.
7. Move to have all Town Staff fill out time sheets. This will
help determine cost of services
