(KENORA, ON) On Tuesday March 10, 2015 the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (Kenora Drug Enforcement Unit) with the assistance of the Kenora Street Crime Unit, Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service (NAPS), the Royal Canadian Mounted Police-“D” Division (RCMP) and the Treaty Three Police Service (T3PS), concluded a drug investigation in Kenora that also included the City of Winnipeg and Mishkeegogamang First Nations Territory.
As a result of this investigation, Jerry LASTHEELS (46 yrs), Cassandra PARENTEAU (43 yrs), and Louise LASTHEELS (41 yrs) of Mishkeegogamang First Nations Territory were arrested and a quantity of Hydro-Codone was located. The three have all been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drug and Substance Act (CDSA). They are all scheduled to appear in Kenora court on April 7, 2015.
