On March 20th 2015 at approximately 9 pm, the Barrie Police Service responded to an address on Mapleton Ave for a disturbance. The caller advised that 2 males just broke into his residence and were assaulting him.
Barrie Police officers arrived at the residence just as the suspects, who happened to be a father and son duo, were attempting to flee.
Through investigation it was learned that the pair attended the home to assault the son’s ex-girlfriends new boyfriend.
Both males were arrested, charged and released with future court dates.
