(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) – On Sunday March 22, 2015 at approximately 12:30 a.m. a Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was on patrol in Monkton. The officer pulled over a pickup truck on Winstanley Street and while speaking to the male driver determined that he displayed signs of impairment.
The driver was arrested and transported to the Perth County OPP Detachment in Sebringville where he failed two Intoxilyzer Breath Tests.
Jason BROWN (29) a resident of the Municipality of North Perth has been charged with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences:
– Driving while ability impaired (alcohol)
– Driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in blood
The male’s driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for seven days.
The male was released on a Promise to Appear and is to attend at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on April 20, 2015 to answer to the charges.
