In the evening, police received a complaint of shoplifting from a business in the south end of Port Elgin. The involved person was located at a nearby business and was found to have an arrest warrant from Grey County OPP. Police arrested a male, 31 yrs of age, from Owen Sound. The male was also charged with resisting arrest. During the arrest he was found to be in possession of stolen property and he was also charged with Theft.

Police received a complaint of a break and enter that occurred sometime between 4:30pm and 11:30pm on March 16th. The complainant reported that his apartment on North Rankin Street in Southampton was entered and a laptop computer stolen. Anyone with information is asked to contact Saugeen Shores Police or Crime Stoppers.
At 11:30pm, police were dispatched to a licenced establishment in Port Elgin in regards to an injured male. It was found that during an altercation in the bar a male was punched and knocked to the ground. He was taken to hospital by EMS. The incident is still under investigation.

Police received a complaint about a theft from a grocery store in Southampton. The theft had occurred on March 17th and had been recorded on video. The complainant reported that the persons involved were back in the store on March 19th. A 29 yr old male was arrested and charged with Theft and Breach of Recognizance.

Police received a complaint of a break and enter to a business on Goderich Street in Port Elgin. Sometime between 5pm on March 21st and 11am on March 22nd, the business was entered and a number of items stolen. The stolen articles are paintball equipment, including a gun, masks and a high pressure air tank.
