(BLUEWATER, ON) – A 58 year old driver has been charged with Racing and has had his vehicle impounded following a traffic stop by police on March 20, 2015. Shortly before 7:00 a.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed a Hyundai Santa-Fe travelling southbound on London Road near MacDonald Road at a high rate of speed. The officer confirmed his visual observations with a moving RADAR device and was able to measure the violators’ rate of speed at 143 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone. A traffic stop was completed and the driver was served with an automatic seven day driver’s licence suspension. Additionally, his vehicle was impounded for seven days.
David WALSH, 58, from St. Thomas has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle. He has a scheduled court appearance for April 21, 2015 at Provincial Offences Act court in Goderich to answer to his charge.
