(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Friday March 27, 2015, Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were called the Stratford TSC store on Line 34 (Hwy 7/8 east of Stratford), where 4 log splitters were discovered stolen.
Investigation revealed that sometime between 10 p.m. on Thursday March 26th and 7 a.m. on Friday March 27th, unknown person(s) stole 4 log splitters from the parking lot in front of the store where the splitters were on display.
The most probable time this theft occurred, is between 12:30 and 1:00 a.m. on Friday morning March 27th.
The culprit(s) would have required several pickup trucks or a flatbed trailer to remove these large and heavy log splitters.
Description of stolen items:
– 2x – 15 ton Champion log splitters yellow in colour
– A 25 ton Forest King log splitter
– A 30 ton Forest King log splitter
The total value of the stolen items is in excess of $6,000.
