(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) – Investigation into the collision that forced the closure of Hwy 7/8 West of Shakespeare by the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has revealed that the collision occurred shortly before 1 p.m. on April 07, 2015.
Investigation revealed that a westbound Dodge Caravan crossed from the west bound lane of Hwy 7/8 onto the eastbound lane colliding head-on with an eastbound Chevy Trailblazer. As a result of the collision both drivers sustained non-life threatening injuries.
One driver was transported from the scene by air ambulance while the second driver was transported from the scene by land ambulance.
The highway is expected to re-open at approximately 3:30 p.m.
