The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 103 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Four people were arrested.

Uniforms Unite to Save Lives

The Chatham-Kent Police, Fire, EMS, OPP as well as the residents of Chatham-Kent are being called to action this month. The call is in support of ‘Uniforms Unite to Save Lives’ — a month-long blood donor campaign that promotes the need for blood. Roll up your sleeves and help us save lives.

Today, there will be a blood donor clinic at the Spirit and Life Centre (formerly known as St. Joe’s Auditorium) in Chatham from 12:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Man and Woman Charged with Failing to Comply CK15009625

The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man and woman after they were found together in Chatham.

Last October, the man and woman were jointly charged and released with several conditions. One of those conditions stated that they were not to communicate with each other.

Yesterday, an officer attended the man’s residence and the woman was found inside the home.

The 23-year-old Chatham man and 21-year-old Dover Township woman were both taken into custody and charged. They have been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK15009637

The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man wanted on an outstanding warrant.

On October 9, 2014 the man was charged with drug possession and released pending a future court date.

On January 8, 2015, the man failed to attend court and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Early this morning, the man was taken into custody in Windsor. The 34-year-old Windsor man was transported back to Chatham-Kent for a bail hearing.

Motor Vehicle Collision in Raleigh Township CK15009549

Around 7:50 a.m. yesterday morning, police responded to a two vehicle collision on Merlin Road near River View Line.

Neither driver was injured. Total damage was estimated at $10,000.

A 24-year-old Windsor man was charged with careless driving.

Motor Vehicle Collision in Wallaceburg CK15009567

Yesterday morning around 11:00 a.m. emergency crews responded to a two vehicle collision on Elm Drive near Dufferin Avenue.

One person sustained minor injuries. Total damage was estimated at $2,500.

An 18-year-old Wallaceburg man was charged with following too closely.
