Kevin Campbell – Drunk Driving

(SOUTH HURON, ON) – A 36 year old driver from Central Huron is facing an Over 80 charge after he was stopped by police on Saturday night. At approximately 10:15 p.m. on April 11, 2015 the driver of a Ford pickup truck pulled up to a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E) checkpoint at the intersection of Hern Line and Highway 23.

Upon speaking with the driver the officer noted the driver had been consuming alcohol. A roadside screening test was performed and the driver registered a fail. He was then placed under arrest for Drive Motor Vehicle Over 80 Milligrams and was transported to the Exeter OPP Detachment where he provided two samples of his breath to a qualified Intoxilizer Technician. Both samples registered over the legal limit.

As a result, 36 year old Kevin Campbell from Central Huron has been charged with Drive Motor Vehicle – Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. He has a court appearance scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice – Exeter on May 14, 2015. He also received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and his motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.
