Resident Forgot To Close Garage – Bicycle Stolen

(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Monday April 13, 2015 a resident of Donegan Street West in Listowel, contacted the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police to report the theft of an expensive road racing bicycle.

The resident accidentally left their overhead garage door open, and surmised that sometime between 10 p.m. Sunday April 12th, and 7 a.m. Monday April 13th, someone entered the open garage. Once inside, the person removed a 2013 white, adult sized “DOWNHILL” 22 speed road racing bicycle.

The Perth County OPP wants to remind residents to close and lock their overhead garage doors as well as the garage man-doors. It is also recommended to lock vehicles that are parked in the garage. If you observe your neighbour’s garage door left open in the evening or during the night, why not tell them or give them a call. They may have forgotten to close it for the night.

Anyone with information about the theft of this bicycle is requested to contact the Perth County OPPat 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), and you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
