On April 14, 2015 at 5:54 p.m., the Guelph Police received a call about a motorcycle with a small child on the back in a child seat. Police located a power assisted bicycle that had been travelling westbound on Wellington Street in heavy traffic. An 18-month-old was occupying a child seat that would normally be mounted to a bicycle.
The driver, a 23-year-old Guelph man, has been charged with permit person under 16 on a power assisted bicycle under the Highway Traffic Act.
