On Tuesday April 21, 2015 at approximately 5:25pm a collision occurred on Ira Needles Boulevard at the University Avenue roundabout. A 26 year old Kitchener male was stopped at the roundabout on Ira Needles waiting for traffic when he was rear-ended by another southbound car. The 26 year old male got out of his vehicle to speak with the other driver when the suspect vehicle suddenly tried to pull around him and flee the scene. The suspect vehicle struck the 26 year old male and pinned him between the two vehicles. The vehicle continued to flee the scene southbound on Ira Needles, striking a light standard, and eventually ending up disabled at the next roundabout. Witnesses observed a male and female leaving the suspect vehicle and heading towards Lemon Grass Street in Kitchener. The victim suffered bruising to both his legs, and moderate damage to his vehicle. The suspect vehicle sustained major damage.
