Aggravated Assault – Arrest Made

On Friday April 24th, 2015, as a result of ongoing investigation, Police arrested the third and last outstanding male connected to an assault that occurred on January 16th, 2015 at 2:00 am outside the Burger King located at 150 University Avenue West, Waterloo. The altercation resulted in a male victim requiring treatment at Grand River Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. A 21 year old Kitchener man has been charged with one count of Aggravated Assault and will appear in Kitchener Courts on Monday April 27th, 2015. Police have no further outstanding suspects in this investigation.

On January 16, 2015 at approximately 2:00 a.m. police responded to an altercation at 150 University West, Waterloo. Three men assaulted the victim, a 24 year old Waterloo man. The victim received non-life threatening injuries and was treated at the hospital before being released. An 18 year old Kitchener male and a 24 year old Kitchener male were arrested leaving the area in a vehicle. A quantity of methamphetamine and cocaine was located and seized during the arrest. The 2 men were held for court, charged with aggravated assault and 2 counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking. The 3rd suspect fled the scene and is described as a male, darker complexion, 5’6 – 5’7″
