(CARRICK TWP, ON) – On April 24, 2015 at 9:24 p.m., a South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer on patrol along the Huron-Bruce Road in Carrick Township noticed a Grey Volvo S42 moving at a high rate of speed. The vehicle speed was displayed on radar at more than 150 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone. The driver, 23-year-old Phillip BATTE of Morris-Turnberry Township, was charged with race a motor vehicle. He is scheduled to appear in court on May 19, 2015 to answer to the charge.
