(BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – On April 26, 2015, a Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer stopped a white Pontiac driving on Coronation Street, in the Town of South Bruce Peninsula. Three passengers ages, 17, 18 and 19 from Neyaashiinigmiing First Nation, were each charged with having open alcohol in the vehicle.
It is important for drivers and passengers to be aware, not to have any open liquor within a vehicle. Liquor containers should be sealed and best stored in the trunk of the vehicle for the safety of all passengers. If the vehicle does not have a trunk; ensure the Liquor container is closed or sealed and/or in a fastened bag that is not readily available to any person within the vehicle.
