(SOUTH HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and members from the OPP West Region Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Team (TTCI) are currently on scene investigating a motor vehicle crash that has occurred east of Exeter this morning.
At approximately 6:43 a.m. officers from the Huron County OPP Detachment along with South Huron Fire Department and Huron County EMS responded to the scene of a two vehicle crash located on Thames Road (County #83) between Elimville Line and McTaggart Line.
The initial investigation has determined a Pontiac G5 was travelling westbound on Thames Road when it collided with an eastbound tractor trailer.
The 20 year old male driver of the Pontiac G5 was transported from the scene by air ambulance with life threatening injuries.
The driver of the tractor trailer was uninjured.
Thames Road remains closed between McTaggart Line and Elimville Line. Please use alternate routes to avoid delays.
